An 1898 Hand Book for Travelers Northern Michigan telling of the railways in Michigan stated, " The next stop is Page where simple accommodations for the convenience of weather have been built by the railroad, and immediately beyond is Mononaqua Beach."
Bruce Catton wrote about "the way," meaning the Wheelway for the cyclists. He wrote: "This way then takes its course close to the shore past Bay View and Kegomic (a large tannery) and along the edge of sand barrens, a wild and picturesque country to Page–a bathing station four miles from Petoskey..."
The Village of Page in Emmet County, Michigan, no longer exists. The red arrow on the 1902 Emmet County Plat Map below points out where Page was located then, right on the shore of Little Traverse Bay, and on the train route between Petoskey and Harbor Springs.

Page Creek between Little Traverse Bay shoreline and Beach Road in Little Traverse Township
was one of eight areas of concern by the Department of Natural Resources
regarding a Shoreland Protection and Management Act.
A call was made to give special attention to Page Creek... it was being recommended for township ownership, but access should not be limited to just the township residents.
It is one of the few quality clean sandy beaches on the bay.
Zoning administrator and planner stated,
"I would like to see this beach opened to a broader segment of the people."
The area is owned by Cedar Cove.
